For many years, the Springfield Jaycees proudly hosted the Capital City Celebration, a community‑focused Fourth of July event held in the heart of downtown Springfield. The celebration brought families, volunteers, and partners together for fireworks, festivities, and hometown pride.
As our chapter continues to evolve, we’ve made the thoughtful decision to retire this event due to rising costs and logistical demands. We’re grateful for everyone who supported the Capital City Celebration over the years — volunteers, sponsors, and community members alike.
While this tradition has concluded, our commitment to creating meaningful, impactful projects for Springfield remains as strong as ever. We look forward to bringing new opportunities for connection, service, and leadership to our community.
